Result: UKCC fell short by 2 runs.
On a day that was hot as a boiler room to start with ended with a disappointing 3 hour drive back home.
GCC won the toss and elected to bat. Some tight bowling from suvid (2 wickets), Ketu (2 wickets), rohit B (2 wickets), Sai and Venkat (1 wicket each) kept the GCC scoring rate under control. Some sensible middle order batting took GCC to 151/9 in 35 overs.
UKCC batted well till the 19th over with the scorecard reading 121/2 (Hari (37), Akshay(36)). An unexpected collapse that shocked the entire team resulted in UKCC ending on the losing side.
UKCC play UC for a place in division 1 on the 10th of july.
Although the summary seems to be short, it does remind a great deal of emotions the team went through during and after the game.... Guess, years later, I'd still read this to rewind back into the game... :) Gud job Akki
